Artist’s Statement

I have been compelled to create art since a very young age. I was seven when I had my first class in painting with oils, and have been in love ever since. Although I venture into watercolor now and then, I always come back to oils. I am constantly inspired by nature, but also enjoy still life and figurative work when the mood strikes. I typically lean toward realism, but I’m always eager for a fresh approach to express myself and keep my collectors engaged. 

Each painting I produce is a labor of love, an expression of my being.  I love seeing my art go to someone who has an emotional attachment to it.
